About the Artist
John McDonald, Jr. Fine Art
Nature Artist

Artist Statement:
I have always been inspired by nature, and it is my desire to present God's creation to those that may have limited exposure to our natural world through my art.
About the Artist:
Unlike many artists I do not come from an extensive art background. I spent many years working in the outdoors because of my education in forestry and wildlife management until recently. Several years ago I retired from 27 years in full time ministry. One of my favorite artist is Jerry Raedeke, an ordained Lutheran minister, that uses watercolor to paint his waterfowl and wildlife scenes. The primary mediums to paint wildlife and nature scenes are watercolor, both transparent and gouache, and oils.
I begin and end each day with the verse; This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24).
